Connecting Cockatoo Communities

A committee of local residents who advocate on behalf of the residents Cockatoo with Local, State and Federal authorities and government to ensure the facilities and developments in the 3781 area are maintained, improved and consistent with the values and desires of the 3781 community.  Membership to the committee is open to all, nominations are invited year round.

Each quarter a public meeting is held, open to everyone to attend and discuss matters and issues important to local residents.  Usually a special guest speaker and theme to cover topics of particular interest

The committee hosts a number of local events each year:

  • Australia Day Celebration
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Elf Hunt

Currently the committee is running a VicHealth funded food program employing local project officers and providing information and activities in the local area.  A cookbook will be published  in the first half of 2022 which will include a growing guide for the local climate, a business directory and other local information.
